Orbitz Tips: With Orbitz you can have email notifications sent about delays which cause a flights departure time to be pushed back.

The biggest complaint I'd had with the Travelocity website was the fact that it could not seem to get notifications of flight changes out to us when our flight had been cancelled months in advance. Orbitz sent notifications by email about the delays which caused the flight's departure time to be pushed back. I could have (and should have) had these notifications sent to my husband's cell phone, but this was new to me.

Since I have been so happy with Orbitz for our flight needs, I began using them to look at other options. The site is very easy to navigate, as there are tabs across the top of the home page which bring me directly to whatever I am currently shopping for under flights , hotels , cars , cruises , or entire vacations .

My Shopping Review - How user friendly is Orbitz?

By a survey of 100 customers 4 Stars out of 5

Orbitz has a new " Flex Search'' displays for both air fares and hotel rates. In addition to air fares for the day¿ you originally requested, Orbitz can show rates with minor itinerary adjustments. If your plans are flexible, you can immediately see how much you can save by shifting your dates. Similarly, the hotel matrix shows the best rates, by hotel class, if you're willing to go up to two, five or 15 miles from the airport or city center you specify.

How it All Started Five airlines -- American, Continental, Delta, Northwest and United -- came together to fulfill a mission: Develop a travel Web site that would serve people better. Of course, the airlines knew it would have to be a very unusual site -- one that would be extremely easy to use, be relied on to deliver truthful, unbiased information, and offer convenient, one-stop shopping for low-priced airfares. Well, we think we've succeeded! When performing a search for airfares, you'll discover the results are displayed in a way that allows you to easily compare airfares among different airlines. But, we don't stop there! Orbitz is committed to superior customer care -- from the products offered to the Traveler Care provided before, during and after the trip. The customer relationship doesn't end when you've purchased your airfare. By signing up for Traveler Alerts, Orbitz stays in touch throughout your journey -- alerts about flight delays and cancellations as well as news about events that could affect your trip -- and much more not offered by other online travel agencies.
